Job summary

Northeast State Community College is seeking a part-time Media/Theatre Services Assistant to help install and maintain classroom presentation systems and assist with events at the Ballad Regional Center for the Performing Arts. Evening and weekend work is required as needed.

The role reports to the Director of Media and Theatre Services and requires an associate degree or higher with at least two years of relevant technology experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of experience with relevant technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom technology installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with the back‑end setup of room control systems and interactive displays.
• Assist with general inventory for classroom and institutional media assets.
• Provide technical support for faculty and staff in the use of presentation technologies.
• Assist with Zoom videoconferencing.
• Assist in the management of institutional digital signage system.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic equipment and peripheral devices.
• Assist with events in the auditorium or theatre setting, including hanging and focusing lighting instruments, setting up and striking staging, setting up microphones & monitors, operating sound and lighting systems for events.
• Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
