Job summary

MVP Sports Clubs is seeking a part-time Assistant Tennis Pro to provide group and private tennis instruction and deliver exceptional customer service to players of all ages. The role requires maintaining teaching standards on and off the court and is part of the Tennis Department, reporting to the Tennis Manager.

The ideal candidate will have USTA membership, a recognized coaching certification, 2+ years teaching experience, and a CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a USTA member.
• USPTA Professional Level or Recreational Coach, or USPTR certification; if not, must attain within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
• College playing experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR Training.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private tennis instruction for all ages 3+.
• Maintain accurate student and class records; manage attendance and sign-ups.
• Use scheduling and payroll systems; ensure commissions paid on time.
• Promote tennis programs and grow the game in the surrounding area.
• Invite at least 8 people monthly to leagues/classes or social events.
• Assist with organizing social and competitive tennis events and tournaments.
• Instruct a minimum of 12 hours per week; report weekly numbers to Tennis Manager.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance in MVP uniform and name badge.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
