Job summary

Southern Bank is seeking a Teller I for a part-time 25-hour schedule in LaGrange, NC. You will perform paying and receiving duties for bank clients, ensure accuracy and policy compliance, and identify opportunities to refer clients to appropriate services.

You will interact with customers daily, handle cash with care, and support branch operations while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least six months cash handling experience.
• Ability to be personable and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage paying and receiving function per policy and limits.
• Represent the Bank to customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Identify customer needs and refer to appropriate services.
• Ensure transactions follow policy and obtain approvals for exceptions.
• Maintain cash controls and verify currency for distribution.
• May issue cashiers' checks, gift cards, or process stop payments.
