Job summary

TruStone Financial Credit Union in Brooklyn Park is seeking a part-time Member Service Representative to greet members, answer questions, and process transactions at our Brooklyn Park branch. The role emphasizes friendly service and helping members achieve financial well-being.

You will build rapport with members, cross-sell financial products, and ensure accurate records while following credit union policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• One year of cash handling experience, preferred.

Job description

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Welcome members into the branch and provide friendly, helpful service that promotes a positive financial well-being. Responsible for meeting established Credit Union and Branch goals for internal and external sales to existing and potential members. Build rapport with members to cross-sell financial products and services that deepen relationships and fosters branch growth while adhering to credit union policy and procedures. Accurately and efficiently process a variety of routine financial inquiries, transactions, and service requests. Secure credit union assets, balance transactions, and complete necessary reports.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Availability to work 20+ hours per week; Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:15am - 5:45pm and every Saturday from 8:45am - 1:15pm, at our Brooklyn Park branch location; non-exempt.

In addition:

• High school diploma or equivalent (or in active pursuit of with a specified end date).
• One year of experience interacting with the public or serving customers.
• One year of cash handling experience, preferred.
• Previous sales experience or strong interest in sales, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and non-verbal), interpersonal skills, and active listening skills.
• Good decision-making skills and judgement.
• Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.

The salary range for this position is $18.00 to $19.75 per hour. In addition, we offer:
