  • Repair and maintain fencing as needed.
  • Maintain and repair automatic waterers.
  • Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical upkeep.
  • Drag and maintain riding arenas.
  • Troubleshoot and repair general facility issues.
  • Assist during volunteer workdays.

Now Hiring: Technical Service Farm Operations Worker - Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center (Franklin County, PA)

The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center is seeking a dependable and skilled Technical Service Farm Operations Worker to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of our farm, equipment, and facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, functional, and well‑maintained environment for our horses, riders, and programs. Daily Responsibilities
  • Mow fields and maintain grounds
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on tractor
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on gator/utility vehicle
  • Repair and maintain fencing as needed
  • Maintain and repair automatic waterers
  • Replace light bulbs and perform minor electrical upkeep
  • Drag and maintain three riding arenas
  • Drag and maintain turn‑out fields
  • Troubleshoot and repair general facility issues as they arise
  • Assist during volunteer workdays with setup, projects, and coordination
  • All other duties as assigned by the Stable Manager, Program Director, or 4‑H Youth Development Educator
Background Checks/Clearances

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
