Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Swim Team Coach for Mercy HealthPlex Anderson in Cincinnati. This part-time role involves leading swimmers of different ages, coaching per certified guidelines, and ensuring safe, effective in-water workouts. The position requires flexible hours and proactive engagement with members and staff.

The coach will evaluate swimmers, maintain certifications, and support center operations while upholding HIPAA training and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience instructing/coaching swim.
• CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Lifeguard certification may be required by state law.
• Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.
• USA Swimming coursework completed and up to date.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim team members individually and as a group with various ages and fitness levels.
• Coach within standard guidelines of specialty certifications.
• Assess client needs by evaluating strength and water ability.
• Maintain certifications and meet continuing education requirements.
• Be proficient in core business software related to duties.
• Maintain safety and emergency procedures and communicate with EMS.
