Job summary

Boulder Country Club in Boulder, CO seeks a part-time Swim Lesson Instructor to plan, coordinate, and teach private, semi-private, and group swim lessons for children six months and older. This role includes a 5–20 hour weekly schedule and a pay structure with commission plus hourly rates.

You will supervise swimmers, design classes for each level, and communicate progress to families while adhering to club policies and attending staff trainings.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge and application of teaching swimming and water safety skills.

Responsibilities

  • Always supervises and observes swimmers to ensure safety.
  • Teaches skills to help the students progress at their own rate.
  • Designs and implements appropriate classes for the level being taught.
  • Create daily/weekly lesson plans for group and private classes.
  • Coordinate weekly/monthly schedules with participants.
  • Communicate progress to participants and parents as appropriate.
  • Be punctual and prepared, arriving 10 minutes before class start.
  • Adhere to club policies and attend staff meetings and training.
  • Maintain courteous relations with members and their children.
  • Complete additional duties from supervisors.
