Job summary

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. The pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

In this role, you will teach basic swimming skills, water safety, and YMCA core values to diverse groups of children and adults, adapting to different ages and abilities with patience and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications are required or can be provided.
• Current YMCA, American Red Cross Lifeguard, Ellis and YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor, or WSI certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool.
• Teach basic swimming skills and water safety with small groups.
• Adapt lessons to different ages and abilities while reinforcing YMCA core values.
