Job summary

James Sprunt Community College in North Carolina seeks a Part-Time Surgical Technology Instructor to lead classroom, lab and clinical experiences, fostering professional relationships with students, faculty and clinical affiliates.

Applicants must hold a Diploma or Associate Degree in Surgical Technology, current CST certification, and a minimum of three years in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Surgical Technology or perioperative nursing qualification.
• Current CST certification by NBSTSA or NBSTSA/NCCA recognized body.
• Demonstrated competency in Surgical Technology practice.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and supervise students in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.
• Maintain and review course objectives, syllabi and student performance.
• Coordinate with clinical affiliates and college personnel to ensure quality clinical experiences.
• Support college policies and program activities.
