Job summary

Summit Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our OR team on a part-time basis, Monday through Friday. This role involves scrubbing, assisting the RN circulator, preparing cases, and maintaining sterile technique in a regional orthopedic-focused ASC.

Required qualifications include CST certification verified via NBSTSA and BLS per ASC policy, plus a high school diploma and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgeon, RN circulator, and anesthesiologist in the OR.
• Set up and breakdown surgical procedures and prepare cases for the next day.
• Maintain sterile technique and environmental cleanliness in the OR.
• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and instrument readiness for procedures.
• Assist in gowning, draping, and passing instruments to surgeons.
• Follow exposure control plans and report breaks in sterile technique.
