Job summary

The Brook Hill Alliance is seeking part-time, hourly EFL teachers for an in-person summer program across North America. You will deliver engaging English lessons to international high school students, align with provided curricula, and adapt materials to student interests.

This role is July 17 through August 8 with variable hours and no housing. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s, TESOL and/or Master’s preferred, and experience in multicultural classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (at the time of start date)
• TESOL certificate and/or Master’s degree preferred
• Prior EFL/ESL teaching experience strongly preferred
• Experience with multicultural and multilingual classrooms strongly preferred
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required
• Must be 18 years or older
• Proficient with Google Drive (Sheets/Slides) and Microsoft Office
• Background check and fingerprinting may be required

Responsibilities

• Deliver well-prepared English as a Foreign Language lessons to diverse classrooms of international high school students
• Review Brook Hill curriculum and supplement with your own materials as appropriate
• Assess student level placement and oral proficiency as directed by Supervisor
• Maintain a safe, engaging learning environment and manage attendance
• Fill out Course Completion Certificates and communicate with staff regularly
• Attend training sessions and meetings as organized by supervision team
• Perform other duties as assigned
