Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; for long-term substitute, a college degree and certification in the subject area per SCDOE.
• Knowledge of school district policies and lesson planning methods.
• Ability to prepare lessons, tests and instructional materials; communicate with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes during the absence of the regular teacher.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials with administrator guidance when unavailable.
• Maintain and record grades and student assignments; assist with clerical tasks.
• Provide support for students needing extra help during substitutes.
• Participate in district staff development programs as assigned by the Principal.
