Job summary

Brookstone Schools is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to support instruction across grades, following prepared lesson plans, and maintaining a Christian learning environment. You will report to the Academic Dean and serve on an as-needed basis throughout the school year.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and using technology to aid instruction, while modeling Christ-like behavior and collaborating with staff to ensure student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; substitute teaching experience preferred.
• Committed follower of Jesus Christ and Christian worldview in work and life.
• Ability to connect with students across age groups; positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction according to lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or administration.
• Uphold biblical integration and Christian worldview in classroom interactions and delivery.
• Utilize classroom technology to support activities.
• Prepare and organize materials for daily instruction.
• Supervise and guide student behavior for a safe learning environment.
• Collect and, if requested, grade work; leave notes on student progress.
• Respond to student needs and communicate urgent concerns to administration.
• Assist with additional duties (e.g., carpool, lunch, recess) as assigned by the Dean of Academics.
