Job summary

Logan-Rogersville School District seeks a Substitute Custodian to maintain a clean, sanitized learning environment at the Rogersville campus. The role covers a full range of custodial tasks, safety-compliant operations, and routine building maintenance under supervision.

As a non-exempt, 12-month at-will position, the custodian aids with grounds, seasonal tasks, and supplies restocking while ensuring building security and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• Clearance on all background checks required by law, satisfactory to Administration.
• Qualifications as the board of education may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Read and interpret English safety and maintenance instructions.
• Respond to staff requests and perform written memos as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean indoor facilities including floors, walls, windows and surfaces.
• Restock soap and paper products; assist with pest management and seasonal grounds work.
• Perform minor repairs and monitor heating/cooling, lighting and cleanliness.
• Maintain security of the building when students are not present.
• Follow approved work schedules and notify office before leaving building.
• Keep school-related information confidential and perform other duties as assigned.
