Part-time/Sub Cleaner

Hours: Vary between the hours of 7am and 11pm

Reports To: Director of School Facilities, Building Administrators, and Assistant Superintendent for Business

Payscale: $18.94/hour

Job Goal: Perform routine cleaning duties, unskilled maintenance tasks, and other related duties as required.

Performance Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision, perform unskilled work cleaning and caring for public buildings. Responsible for the cleanliness of a designated section of a school building, performing unskilled maintenance duties, and other laboring tasks.

Typical Duties:

• Sweeps, mops, washes walls, dusts, empties waste baskets, disposes of rubbish, handles towels and cleaning supplies, waxes floors, washes windows and blackboards, and assists in transporting supplies and equipment.
• Sets up and removes furniture for special events.
• Secures windows and doors after cleaning assigned areas.
• Removes snow or rakes leaves around buildings.
• Paints areas that do not require specialized painting skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Fingerprint clearance from NYSED.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
