Job summary

The position supports at‑risk students under a PPS provider, conducting individual and group counseling and delivering resources to build behavioral, social, emotional, and academic skills. Training in youth counseling is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of twelfth grade with college courses in behavioral sciences or counseling.
• Training in youth counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Direct experience counseling youth.

Responsibilities

• Support for at‑risk students and their families under a credentialed PPS provider.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions and workshops; provide resources to develop students’ behavioral, social, emotional and academic skills.
• Provide guidance on self-esteem, decision making, coping strategies, conflict resolution, problem solving, substance abuse and anger management.
