Job summary

Hillsborough College Brandon Campus is seeking a Part-Time Student Services Technician to provide essential administrative and student support services, with a focus on First-Time Hawk Orientation continuity.

The role will serve as a backup presenter when the full-time Orientation Specialist is unavailable and assist students with registration, password resets, Hillsborough College applications, and general enrollment questions. On-campus position up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, administrative support, student services, or a related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn institutional systems, including Workday and Etrieve.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Present and facilitate First-Time Hawk Orientation sessions when the full-time Orientation Specialist is unavailable.
• Assist with preparing orientation materials, presentations, student communications, and attendance records.
• Guide incoming students through college resources, enrollment requirements, academic expectations, and available student support services.
• Provide additional orientation coverage during peak enrollment periods as needed.
• Assist students with course registration and navigating Workday Student.
• Support students with password resets, account access, and multifactor authentication troubleshooting.
• Assist prospective students with completing and submitting Hillsborough College admission applications.
• Guide students through completing and submitting Student Forms using the Etrieve platform.
• Refer complex student concerns to the appropriate Student Services personnel.
