Job summary

Oregon State University (OSU) College of Business invites applications for a part-time student employee to assist faculty with researching tasks and potential teaching support. The role supports data collection, participant recruitment, and lab tasks across fall 2026 to winter 2027, with possible teaching duties in spring 2027. Hours vary weekly, up to 24 hours.

The position pays $16.55 per hour and may renew beyond the 2026-2027 academic year based on mutual interest and performance.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
• Undergraduate student: 6 credit hours per term
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
• Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
• Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
• International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours and still be considered full time by USCIS; reduced course load approved by OIS and provided to SEC

Responsibilities

• Assist with facilitation of a research field study in fall 2026/winter 2027; tasks include participant recruitment and running lab studies
• Carry out study tasks in Canvas/Qualtrics and data cleaning/compilation
• May assist with teaching duties in Spring 2027, including grading and administrative tasks
