JOB SUMMARY

The Part-Time Student Program Management is an early-career development role designed for high-potential students looking to gain hands-on experience in corporate and operational project management. In this role, you will work part-time alongside school schedules to support critical business initiatives, collaborate across functions, and build foundational project management skills. This position offers direct exposure to Blue Bird’s operations and strategic growth projects, providing a pipeline for future full-time leadership opportunities upon graduation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Lifecycle Support: Track schedules, document milestones, and monitor task completion to keep high-impact business and operational projects on schedule.
  • Meeting & Team Logistics: Schedule cross-functional meetings, prepare agendas, capture minutes, and follow up on team action items.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain real-time project plans, status dashboards, risk registers, and resource tracking sheets.
  • Data & Risk Analysis: Gather project budget, timeline, and resource data to flag potential bottlenecks and support leadership reporting.
  • Professional Development: Learn Blue Bird Corporation project methodologies, adopt corporate tools, and participate in structured mentorship.
BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Junior, or Senior or Graduate level student, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Business-related field

At least 18 years of age prior to the start of the part-time student assignment

Minimum GPA of 3.5

WORK SCHEDULE
  • Part‑time, 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic commitments
  • Availability during business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed

  • Must work in manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold and noise

  • Frequent weeks working 40+ hours
  • Frequent communication with people throughout the day
