Job summary

Friendship Baptist Church is seeking a Part-time Student Minister to lead youth in grades 7–12. The role centers on sharing the gospel, discipling students, and equipping families for spiritual growth within a Christ-centered community.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, solid communication, and a heart for ministry with experience in student ministry preferred. Willingness to become a church member and pass a background check are required to serve in this role.

Qualifications

• Heart transformed by the gospel and Christlike living.
• Willingness to become a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
• Experience in student ministry preferred (volunteer or paid).
• Background check required and willing to undergo background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual leadership for students and families, guiding growth in faith through prayer and biblical counseling.
• Provide vision and leadership for the student ministry aligned with the church's mission and theology.
• Proclaim the gospel and exalt Jesus in all student ministry activities.
• Plan and participate in all student programs and events (Sunday School, midweek services, camps, mission trips).
• Recruit, train, and support student ministry volunteers.
• Create and manage an annual budget, tracking expenses and maintaining stewardship.
