Job summary

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks a qualified part-time string teacher for the UMHB Arts Academy. The instructor will provide lessons in Violin, Viola, Cello, and/or String Bass, delivering expertise to students of all ages.

Responsibilities include primary teaching hours after school and during some weekend events. Applicants must be committed Christians and possess proficiency in string instruments.

Qualifications

• Active and committed Christian who supports the University’s mission.
• Reliability in keeping lesson times and communicating changes.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide private lessons and group classes for string instruments.
• Offer professional guidance and instruction to students of all ages.
• Conduct teaching primarily after school and during some weekends.

Skills

Proficiency in playing string instruments

Experience in ensemble participation

Ability to teach all ages of string instrument study

Excellent time management skills
