Job summary

The Salvation Army Gulf Coast Family Store in Gulfport, MS is seeking a part-time Store Clerk. You will assist customers at the register, handle cash, sort donated items, tag pricing, and maintain a neat display area. The role includes warehouse duties and store opening/closing per schedule.

Basic qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED; retail experience is preferred. Work is part-time with benefits and requires standing and light lifting. Regular weekend shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items according to category and condition.
• Tags items with coded tickets and prices for display and pricing.
• Prepares non-display items for the bailer and maintains order in the warehouse.
• Assists customers at the register, processes sales, and handles cash transactions.
• Ensures store displays are neat and merchandise is properly rotated.
• Opens and closes the store per the schedule.
