Auto Value is seeking a Part-Time Store Counter Sales Representative in Fergus Falls, MN. You will combine automotive knowledge with friendly service to help customers find the right parts and build lasting relationships.

What You'll Do

As a Store Counter Sales Representative, you'll be the face of Auto Value for customers walking through our doors and calling the store. You'll combine automotive knowledge with great customer service to make sure customers get the right products and a great experience.

Help Customers Find the Right Parts: Use parts catalogs and product knowledge to identify the correct parts and solutions

Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with retail and commercial customers and become a trusted automotive resource

Sell & Recommend: Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products and accessories, and promote current sales programs

Provide Automotive Expertise: Assist customers with parts questions, product applications, paint mixing, returns, and non-application parts

Support Commercial Customers: Answer phones, assist with orders, and help coordinate commercial customer deliveries

Create a Great Customer Experience: Greet customers, listen to their needs, solve problems, and make sure they leave satisfied

Process Transactions: Accurately process sales and follow established store procedures

Keep the Store Running: Assist with freight check-in, labeling, inventory, deliveries, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment

Be a Team Player: Work closely with store leadership and teammates to support customers and achieve store goals

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, customer-focused, and motivated to succeed.

You may be a great fit if you:

Have automotive parts knowledge or previous automotive industry experience

Enjoy talking with customers and helping solve problems

Have strong communication and customer service skills

Are comfortable recommending products and identifying additional customer needs

Can navigate parts catalogs, both paper and digital

Have experience with point-of-sale systems or are comfortable learning new technology

Can work independently while contributing to a strong team

Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Are willing to learn and follow established procedures

Automotive parts experience is strongly preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who brings the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
