Job description

Enhance the ALDI customer shopping experience in a collaborative team environment as an ALDI Cashier or Stocker. As a member of our team, you'll operate registers or other machinery, stock shelves, maintain store appearance, and serve customers. Start a job that offers new challenges each day.

Position Details:

• Type: Part-Time
• Hours: Less than 30 per week
• Starting Wage: $17.50/hour
• Wage Progression: Year 2 - $18.00, Year 3 - $18.50, Year 4 - $18.50, Year 5 - $19.50

Responsibilities:

• Operate registers and machinery accurately
• Stock shelves and merchandise displays
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist with inventory counts and monitor stock levels
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent losses
• Maintain store cleanliness and security
• Perform other duties as assigned

Stocker Specific Duties:

• Stock and rotate products to ensure freshness
• Follow merchandising planograms
• Handle inventory and operate equipment safely

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and walk regularly
• Stockers must lift up to 45 pounds and handle inventory from receiving to shelving

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 or older
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to interpret company policies
• Availability for early morning shifts (as early as 5:00 a.m.)
• Cashier: proficiency in operating a register and handling alcohol sales as per state laws
• Stocker: experience with equipment like jacks and balers is preferred

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Retail experience is a plus
