Job summary

Lee College seeks a Part-Time Sterile Processing Technician Instructor at the Baytown campus. The role involves delivering classroom and laboratory instruction, developing materials, and assessing student competency in sterile processing.

Requirements include CRCST certification and at least 3 years of current sterile processing experience. Teaching experience and additional qualifications are preferred. This position begins Summer 2027 at the Mont Belvieu campus.

Qualifications

• Must be CRCST certified.
• 3 years of full-time, current sterile processing experience.
• Ability to teach across diverse student populations and multiple sites.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant software (LMS, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and deliver course instruction per Lee College curriculum and industry standards.
• Develop and update instructional materials, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
• Teach theory and hands-on skills for sterile processing: decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, packaging.
• Demonstrate proper sterilization techniques, infection prevention, and safety standards.
• Supervise lab activities and evaluate student competency through demonstrations and exams.
• Maintain attendance, grades, and instructional records per Lee College policies.
• Foster a positive, safe learning environment and support student engagement.
• Stay current on sterile processing practices and industry trends.
• Communicate professionally with students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development.
