Job summary

Specialty Industrial Group is seeking a Part-Time Confined Space Rescue Technician to provide standby rescue services for industrial projects around Houston. You will help ensure worker safety during confined space entries and other high-risk operations.

Ideal candidates have emergency response, industrial safety, firefighting, EMS, rescue, or related experience, and must be able to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends, with the ability to respond quickly to calls.

Qualifications

• Must live in the Houston, Texas area or surrounding communities.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and short-notice assignments.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and site-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • HAZWOPER
  • Rope Rescue
  • Industrial Safety Training

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in industrial environments, including refineries, chemical plants, and manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to wear PPE and respiratory protection as required.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and carry rescue equipment.
