Job summary

City of Peoria is hiring for Sports Field Grounds Crews in the Parks and Recreation Department. You will help prepare baseball fields, bullpens, and related facilities, performing turf maintenance and assisting with field reconditioning and line painting for events throughout the year.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (18–30 hours weekly) in public park settings, with training opportunities and safety guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Education: No minimum requirement.
• No previous related experience required.
• Must complete City training courses within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain baseball fields, bullpens and related facilities.
• Assist with turf maintenance including resodding and clean-up tasks.
• Paint field lines, logos and chalk as needed.
• Support with facility upkeep and grounds maintenance during events.
