Job summary

A.G. Rhodes is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist (SLP) for our Cobb community in Marietta, GA. This day-shift role is about 20 hours per week, focusing on residents with memory care needs and dementia.

You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver person-centered care and support families. Ideal candidates will have GA licensure, a graduate degree in Speech Therapy, and experience in skilled nursing settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program.
• Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing in Georgia.
• Two years' experience in Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Experience with dementia patients preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Experience with PointClickCare (EHR) preferred.

Qualifications For Our Speech Therapist SLP Position Include:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program
• Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing and able to practice in the state of Georgia
• Two years of experience in Skilled Nursing community preferred
• Experience working in a person directed care environment preferred
• Experience working with persons living with dementia
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent team player, able to work harmoniously across multiple disciplines
• Ability to effectively interact with elders and their families
• Compassionate and empathetic towards elders, especially those who have communication difficulties
• Ability to assess and diagnose speech and language disorders accurately
• Experience with PointClickCare electronic records system preferred
