Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders. This role is onsite at Nash Hospitals and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver habilitative services.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, current NC licensure, and CCC-ASHA is preferred. New graduates may apply, with 24 hours per week scheduled as a day job.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in NC.
• ASHA CCC preferred or in progress towards certification.
• New graduates eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Administer diagnostic tests and evaluations for speech and swallowing disorders.
• Teach and supervise graduate students or clinical fellows as needed.
• Evaluate care and establish patient goals, adjusting treatment as appropriate.
• Apply current rehabilitative techniques to deliver quality care.
• Document progress and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with department and other clinicians to support patient care.
