Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Remediate articulation deficits affecting academic performance.
• Increase receptive and expressive language skills in students below age norms.
• Evaluate students for hearing, speech, or language deficits with TEAM data.
• Screen students for speech-language deficits using referrals or TEAM data.
• Use standardized tests to determine placement needs.
• Provide 1:1 or small group therapy and transfer strategies to home when warranted.
• Support adaptations in general education classrooms through therapy services.
• Draft IEP sections: evaluation summaries, goals, services, and progress reports.
• Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with the IEP team.
• Maintain 60-day evaluation timelines post-consent.
• Conduct audiometric screenings for special education students.
• Plan exit strategies for long-term service recipients when appropriate.
