UW Medical Center - Northwest is seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in Seattle. You will provide speech, language, and audiology services, perform assessments, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and educators to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

The role emphasizes evaluation, family consultation, sign language and alternative communication methods, and participation in teaching students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Audiology (or equivalent).
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA/ASHA-certified equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional speech, language, and/or audiology services to individuals with communicative disabilities.
• Identifies and evaluates hearing, language, and speech abilities using diagnostic tools.
• Develops treatment programs with multidisciplinary team.
• Plans and provides for evaluation and treatment of individuals including follow-up assessments.
• Confers with family and professionals on evaluation, treatment, and progression.
• Directs and evaluates speech-language or audiology students.
• Provides non-medical rehabilitation services (e.g., hearing aid fitting, auditory training).
• Uses equipment for speech analysis and assistive devices.
• Assists with research and development.
