Job summary

Open Arms Care Corporation in Memphis, TN is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide clinical services to clients with speech, language, voice disorders and dysphagia.

The role includes evaluating clients, developing treatment plans, participating in meetings, and collaborating with Circle of Support to improve communication. A Tennessee license and CCC-ASHA are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Tennessee license as a speech-language pathologist with SBESLPA.
• CCC-ASHA: Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• May be required to lift and transfer clients or assist with positioning.
• Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess disorders.
• Knowledge of evaluation, habilitation and rehabilitation of speech-language disorders.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent evaluations to assess clients with speech or language disorders and dysphagia.
• Develop clinical recommendations and strategies from observations and data.
• Participate in ISP meetings and Circle of Support meetings as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the client’s Circle of Support to plan activities to improve communication.
• Provide professional development to staff on communication deficits and dysphagia hazards.
• Assist in dysphagia training and orientation materials.
• Compile, maintain, and file all required reports and records.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and DIDD regulations.
