Job summary

Ascension's Seton Smithville Regional Hospital in Smithville, TX is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Acute Care team. You’ll collaborate with physicians, care teams and families to assess needs and deliver tailored rehabilitation plans.

You’ll treat patients across diagnoses, provide instruction to patients and caregivers, and manage a daily caseload to ensure smooth care transitions. A Texas licensure and BLS are required before start.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire.
• Texas Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required or provisional accepted until issued.
• Licensure must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, care teams, patients and families to evaluate needs and build customized care plans.
• Deliver targeted therapeutic care to help patients progress toward recovery goals.
• Teach patients, families and caregivers rehabilitation techniques based on diagnosis.
• Manage daily caseload to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination with medical staff.
