Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is looking for adjunct faculty to provide engaging instruction and assessments using standard syllabi. You will teach assigned courses, maintain attendance and grading records, and support students to reach their goals.

Responsibilities include offering help outside scheduled class time, using Blackboard and PowerPoint, and coordinating with the program to resolve issues. A master’s in speech/communication or related credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s or higher degree in speech or communication from a regionally accredited institution.
• Or earned master’s or higher degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in speech or communication.
• Ability to deliver instruction and assess student learning using standard syllabi.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes and facilitate student learning to achieve course goals.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow required content.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy.
• Be accessible to students outside class time to answer questions.
• Promote diversity and inclusive practices in all activities.
