Hudsonville Public Schools Jamestown Lower Elementary in Hudsonville, Michigan is seeking a Special Education Resource Paraprofessional to support students needing accommodations and to help implement positive behavior strategies. Qualifications

• Two years of college or 60 semester hours, or an associate's degree or higher.
• Ability to read and understand instructional materials.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and school community.
• Three years in general administrative assistant work and/or training (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Under teacher direction, provide instructional and social-emotional/behavior accommodations and interventions.
• Assist students with health, medical or physical needs (eg transferring, diapering, bathrooming, etc).
• Assist teams in the implementation of positive behavior support plans or emergency intervention plans.
• Assist teams with data collection.
• Respect individual student strengths and needs and maintain confidentiality at all times.
