Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Male Specimen Collector in Luling, LA. The role involves collecting urine and oral fluid specimens, documenting patient information, and coordinating with the lab to ensure proper processing and shipping.

The ideal candidate has basic medical experience or strong customer service skills, a valid driver’s license, and comfort using a smartphone and computer. HIPAA compliance and data accuracy are essential, with travel between facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in medical field supporting patients preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with medical insurance/billing or diagnostic codes is a plus.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent lab information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
