Job summary

Salt Lake City School District Transportation in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking part‑time Bus Attendants. Qualifications

• Must pass and maintain fingerprinting and criminal background check.
• Must pass and maintain the USBE Physical Assessment Standards for Utah School Bus Drivers.
• CPR & First Aid Certificate required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students during transport to ensure safe loading and unloading.
• Secure students with seat belts and assistive devices as needed, including wheelchairs and walkers.
• Support the bus driver with safety instructions and routine checks.
• Learn bus routes to fill in for regular drivers when needed.
• Monitor student behavior to prevent disruptions and maintain safety on the bus.
