Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a Mild/Moderate credential to provide individualized instruction to students in Pomona, California. This part-time role offers 20-28 hours weekly, with onsite preference and potential hybrid arrangements.

The teacher will develop and monitor IEPs, adapt materials, collaborate with educators and families, and ensure compliance with SPED regulations in a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active California Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential (CTC).
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Knowledge of special education laws, compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support students with a variety of learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students in special education.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, administrators, and related service providers.
• Conduct progress monitoring and maintain accurate educational documentation.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Ensure compliance with SPED regulations.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
