Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or 48 college credits, or pass the ParaPro Test.
• Experience working with at-risk children is preferred.
• Experience as an at-risk teaching assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to the special education teacher.
• Assist in teaching daily living, social, and self-help skills.
• Assist with student feeding, hygiene, and mobility as needed.
• Supervise students during classes and transitions between classes.
• Assist with clerical duties and field trip planning.
