Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in New Mexico is seeking a casual part-time AFRL Systems Engineer to support AFRL/RJE programs and Space Force initiatives. The role focuses on assisting mission acquisition from concept to launch and early operations, with emphasis on environmental testing planning and on-orbit support.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree, have experience with AFRL/RJE programs, strong written and oral communication skills, and be able to obtain a government security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program.
• Experience with AFRL/RJE programs.
• Ability to work in a customer-facing environment on technical, programmatic, and administrative issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication; experience presenting technical information.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Work with AFRL/RJE program offices to assist in acquiring space missions from concept to launch and early operations.
• Assist in writing test plans, procedures, and post-test reports for space hardware environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, EMI/EMC).
• Support on-orbit operations for select missions.
