Job summary

Fastenal is hiring for a Part-time Sortation role at our Lacey, WA distribution center. You will assist in moving products, labeling, and packing for shipping, with a 3:00pm–9:00pm shift and up to 28 hours per week.

Candidates should be 18+, with strong communication, computer, and math skills, and a team-oriented, safety-conscious mindset. On-site position offering a flexible schedule after onboarding and performance, plus the potential to learn EH&S practices and forklift experience is

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25lbs-50lbs, up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners and printers to label product.
• Organize shipments into correct containers.
• Pack product in layers for stability and space efficiency.
• Identify fragile product and handle accordingly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules.
• Participate in programs to meet health, safety and sustainability goals.
• Learn and perform EH&S trainings.
