GRID Alternatives' Mid Atlantic office is seeking a dedicated, highly organized Workforce Development Manager to lead the implementation of a Planning Grant focused on building an inclusive local solar workforce development ecosystem.

This position is directly responsible for executing all core grant deliverables—including community outreach, stakeholder engagement, Advisory Committee facilitation, data collection, and co-creating a sustainable Solar Workforce Development Rollout Plan.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in workforce development, community outreach, stakeholder engagement, or program planning.
• Proven track record of managing grant deliverables and data for reporting.
• Deep commitment to equity and working with underrepresented communities.
• Strong facilitation, public speaking and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Build internal infrastructure and project workflows with the ED and team.
• Execute community outreach campaigns and gather feedback on career pathways.
• Convene meetings with workforce orgs, employers and wraparound providers.
• Recruit and onboard a diverse Advisory Committee and facilitate meetings.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate barriers and workforce trends.
• Draft and finalize the Solar Workforce Development Rollout Plan by Feb 2027.
• Manage grant deliverables, tracking, budgeting, invoicing and funder relations.
