Job summary

Ramapo College of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Assistant Coach for softball to support the Head Coach by guiding the pitching staff, developing mechanics, and leading practices.

The role includes recruiting, planning practices, game-day preparation, and ensuring compliance with NCAA, NJAC, and college policies. Evening/weekend duties and physical requirements apply; compensation ranges from $8,000 to $12,000 for 10 months.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching softball pitchers and developing pitching programs.
• Ability to recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.
• Understanding NCAA/NJAC and Ramapo College rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Work with the pitching staff to develop mechanics, strength, and in-game performance.
• Prepare practice plans for the pitching staff and assist Head Coach.
• Develop game-day scouting reports and opponent analysis.
• Recruit high school athletes and support academic progress of players.
• Ensure compliance with college, conference, and NCAA rules during trips and activities.
