St. John’s Community Services in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Part-Time Sober Living Residential Counselor to support residents in a recovery-focused living environment.

The role requires trauma-informed, compassionate care and coordination with SJCS teams to ensure safety and dignity. You will facilitate groups, monitor resident well-being, and assist with daily activities, documentation, and safe transitions between shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred CRPA or CASAC certification or working toward it.
• Education in human services is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Ensure safety and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Provide person-centered, recovery-oriented care respecting dignity and autonomy.
• Facilitate educational groups and community events.
• Maintain orderly, clean, structured daily operations for a therapeutic environment.
• Develop strong professional relationships with residents, families, and SJCS team members.
• Complete daily tasks and documentation within established timeframes.
• Assist residents with daily living skills and self-medication administration.
