Job summary

Garden City Care Center in Clovis, CA is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support daily food service for residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal trays, sanitation, and kitchen operations under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a Food Handler’s Certificate. You’ll work on set shifts, learn recipes, and help ensure meals are prepared and served safely and on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes; maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow food service routines in a timely manner.
• Set up and serve meal trays.
• Strip returned trays and wash dishes.
• Operate dishwasher and monitor dishwashing cycles.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwasher at the beginning of the shift.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining area floors.
• Take out trash and garbage.
• Properly store groceries in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
• Leave kitchen areas clean and sanitary at the end of each shift.
• Assist the Cook or Dietary Supervisor as needed.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary training.
• Work cooperatively with staff across all departments.
