SEEDS Ecology & Education Centers in Benzonia, MI is seeking an EcoSchool Assistant Site Coordinator to support the Site Coordinator with after-school programming and youth development. The role emphasizes nutrition, enrichment, and academic guidance while coordinating with staff and families.

The position is part-time, with afternoon hours and occasional evenings, offering sick leave, EAP, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Pass all required background checks.
• 1 year of experience working with children or youth.
• Must hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Completed 15 clock hours or 1 semester hour in child care/ development or related field.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement programming in the classroom, with or without supervision.
• Provide nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional support to youth.
• Collaborate with Site Coordinator and supervise teaching assistants in their absence.
• Document attendance and behavior; assist with compliance and data collection.
• Maintain relationships with students, families, and school staff.
• Ensure a safe and organized learning environment and respond to emergencies.
