Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Service Technician to repair, maintain, and support industrial refrigeration equipment for customers. A working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, about 14 hours per week with pay starting at $25/hour, depending on experience. The role includes hands-on field work across multiple facilities with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC tech school preferred.
• EPA universal certification or ability to obtain.
• Pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screenings required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and climbing ladders.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions.

Job Role

A Part-Time Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, & support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial & industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is required to be successful in this role.

Schedule

Key Duties

• Conduct routine daily, weekly, and monthly mechanical integrity inspections at client facilities.
• Regularly report inspection findings to the Service Manager.
• Accurately input inspection results into the system using a computer.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED, HVAC tech school preferred
• Universal EPA certification OR ability to obtain
• Company is a tobacco‑free workplace and, as such, no tobacco products are allowed during the workday on the job site(s).
• The position requires a pre‑employment drug screening, felony screening, and motor vehicle record screening
• Excellent physical condition as you will be required to climb ladders and occasional heavy lifting.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
• Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive motions and remain on feet for most of the shift.
