Job summary

City of Las Cruces is seeking a Meals Delivery Driver to deliver meals to homebound senior clients on a daily basis and provide support. The role requires a valid Class D license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced kitchen and delivery environment.

Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with schedule variations by need; position may be part-time, contract, on-call, or full/part-time as vacancies arise. CPR/First Aid training is required upon employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or related experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals based on assigned route; reviews client roster and ensures all clients are supported daily.
• Assists with meal packaging; observes clients and reports relevant information.
• Follows health and safety standards for meal handling and delivery.
• Delivers donation envelopes weekly; collects donations and processes reports.
• Performs daily pre-run vehicle maintenance; maintains van in clean, safe condition.
• Assists program staff and may run errands as needed.
