Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant in Harrisburg, PA for part-time, with 8:30am-4:30pm shifts and PRN opportunities. Generate engaging resident experiences, drive participation, and coordinate events with the team to inspire a vibrant community life on campus.

Requires a High School diploma or GED; prior group activity experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license and ability to handle physical tasks are expected. EOE

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred.
• Energetic, personable, positive leadership style.
• Clear communication with residents and coworkers.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required.

Responsibilities

• Generate ideas for new and favorite experiences.
• Drive residents’ interest in a dynamic lifestyle to promote a sense of pride and purpose.
• Venture out with residents to theaters, museums, sporting events, restaurants, special destinations and more.
• Team up with the Activities Coordinator and/or Associate in preparing and planning on and offsite events and activities.
• Guide volunteers to create meaningful impact.
• Promote a positive, enthusiastic environment to motivate resident engagement.
