Job summary

AES Therapy & Fitness is seeking part-time Group Exercise Instructors to join our senior-focused wellness team. Classes are held at Alameda locations, with sessions on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00am–12:00pm or 1:30pm–4:30pm.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equiv., and a degree in kinesiology or exercise science (or a certified group fitness credential) is preferred. Ideal applicants will have at least 6 months of experience, be able to communicate clearly with elderly

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Degree in Kinesiology or Exercise Science, or accredited group fitness certification preferred.
Minimum of 6 months experience (or equivalent education) preferred.
Ability to speak English clearly to elderly and hard of hearing residents.
Ability to work patiently with cognitively impaired individuals.

Responsibilities

Lead Group Exercise classes for 2–10 seniors at a time with varying levels of exertion.
Classes range from seated to standing.
Adjust classes to trainer interests and capabilities.
